Attendance
Attendance
Regular attendance is one of the strongest contributors to student success. Being at school every day helps students build strong learning habits, develop friendships and feel connected to their school community.
Students should arrive at school on time each day, with learning commencing promptly at 9:00 am.
If your child is absent, parents and carers are asked to submit an absence notification through Compass. There is no need to telephone the school unless:
- your child will be absent for more than three consecutive days, or
- you need to discuss ongoing attendance concerns.
If your child has a contagious illness that requires exclusion from school (such as Chickenpox, Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, School Sores or similar), please contact the school office so appropriate health procedures can be followed.
Arriving Late or Leaving Early
We encourage all students to attend school for the full day whenever possible.
If your child needs to leave school early for a medical, dental or other essential appointment, a parent or authorised adult must sign them out through the school office.
Please allow 5–10 minutes for office staff to locate your child, as students may be participating in specialist classes or other learning activities across our large school grounds.
Where possible, please avoid collecting students during the lunch break, as classrooms are locked and school bags may not be accessible.
