Swimming lessons are offered to the Grade 1 - 4 students from 27th November until 8th December, 2017. The swimming program is an important school program and all grade 1-4 students are encouraged to participate. If your child has a Swim and Survive Booklet, they can bring it with them to the pool towards the end of the program to have it signed by their instructor.

If your child is sick from Gastroenteritis symptoms within two weeks of swimming, due to Lara Pool Policy your child will not be able to attend.
Parents are asked to ensure that their child has their Sunsmart hat and we recommend that you apply sunscreen to your child before school for the duration of the swimming program. No student will be permitted to enter the pool unless they are wearing a rash vest or t-shirt for protection from the sun.
The permission note and full payment must be returned by Friday November 1st. If payment by the due date is a problem, please see the office staff at the school to make suitable arrangements.
The swimming program is to help develop children’s skills in and around water. Students will be grouped according to their level of achievement at the end of the 2016 program. The Grade 1 students and any new students to the school will be assessed on the first day and placed into groups. Please send a note to Mr Davis at school by Wednesday 1st of November if your child has made significant progress since the end of the program last year, or if they do swimming outside of school and you know their current Swim and Survive level, so they can be placed into the correct group before the program commences.
Children will leave school approximately 20-30 minutes before their swimming session time. If you are able to assist in any way and you have a current Working with Children’s Check please let Mr Davis or your child's classroom teacher know.
If you have a current membership for COGG Swim Sport and Leisure ‘Water World’ you may be eligible for a discount. Please take your card to our Administration office for clarification and charge reduction.
Thank you,
Ricky Davis
