At Lara Lake Primary School we work together as a dynamic team to achieve common goals. We offer a quality education through the provision of a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment. This facilitates fulfilment of individual potential and respect for self and others.

Lara Lake Primary School has worked with the Quality in Schools Project and as a result we work towards continuous improvement in all that we do. We continue to improve many of the processes we undertake, including the meeting and communication processes, the Discipline and Welfare process and the development of policies and supporting documentation.

Our school works in four levels: Prep, Junior, Middle and Senior. Students are regularly challenged, supported and extended through a range of teaching strategies, intervention program, individual learning improvement plans and open-ended learning opportunities. We have a focus on teaching "Thinking" skills-problem solving and responding critically and creatively.

Teams of teachers plan together and use the combined creative and efficient talents of each member to provide quality classroom and specialist programs.

Integration aides and office staff enhance school programs, support teachers and assist students and families.

We have a strong and consistent Discipline and Welfare program which takes a positive focus and supports individuals and families.
