In the Lara Lake Primary School Community we work together as a dynamic team to achieve common goals. We offer a quality education through the provision of a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment which facilitates the fulfilment of individual potential and respect for self and others.

At Lara Lake Primary School we work towards continuous improvement in all that we do. We continue to improve many of our processes and programs and strive to make learning relevant and engaging.

Our school works in four levels: Prep, Junior, Middle and Senior Students are regularly challenged, supported and extended through a range of teaching strategies, intervention programs, individual learning improvement plans and open-ended learning opportunities. We have a focus on teaching thinking skills including problem solving and responding critically and creatively. We also use Interactive Whiteboards extensively across the school.

Teams of teachers plan together and use the combined creative and efficient talents of each member to provide quality classroom and specialist programs.

Integration aides and office staff enhance school programs, support teachers and assist students and families.

We have strong and consistent Discipline and Welfare program which takes a positive focus and supports individuals and families. Whilst we maintain a focus on our high achievement in Literacy and Numeracy, our four year Strategic Plan (2008-2011) outlines an additional focus on teaching and learning through Science and Environmental Sustainability.
