Daily attendance is important for all children to succeed in education and to ensure they don’t fall behind both socially and developmentally. A child missing one day a fortnight will miss four weeks in a year, and more than a year of school by Year 10. It is important that children develop regular attendance habits at an early age.

The Grade 3 and 4 students will be attending their bi-annual camp to Phillip Island Adventure Resort. This camp is one of the memorable highlights of the Middle Department. The Phillip Island Adventure Resort is a modern facility which offers excellent accommodation and activities for our students to participate in during their stay.

The Lara Lake Primary School gymnasium is hired out most evenings to a local club however Saturday and Sunday are still available if there are any other clubs that might like to have access to a large hall with wooden basketball flooring, only suitable for runners / sneakers. For all enquiries please contact the Business Manager, Kerry Hanrahan Ph. 52821261. All hirers need to have Public Liability insurance and sign a Lara Lake PS Hire Agreement. Charges for hall hire are as per the charge schedule, which will be made available upon expression of interest.
The school ‘squoval’ is also available for hire after school hours or during the weekend and/or school holidays. Again, there is a requirement for Public Liability insurance.
